  Introduction Change management is a mega topic in management literature. We have been over focusing the change and overlooking the transition which is a critical element or aspect in managing the change effectively. The first   step towards this would be discerning these two terms “ change” and “ transition”. We often use these two terms inter-changeably due to non-understanding of the differences. This article explores different models of both change and transition and the value of integrating existing models in practice to make transition smooth.   Introduction It is important to discern enlightenment or Nirvana described in Buddhism from other similar concepts in different western and eastern spiritual teaching and practices.
